Some people in fandom desperately need to become obsessed with something SUPER niche and obscure. Something with like 10 active fans at the very most. Something with only 6 fics if you’re very lucky, all but one written by the same dedicated fan. Something where when you do find a fan account, it’s been innactive for years. Something that’s not available on streaming and its only physical release was never released in your country. Let it humble you.

This is basically what my physical therapist had me do for my back problems last year and it helped with the pain so much! Also walk for at least thirty minutes a day, even if it’s just in small chunks throughout the day.
So…roughly three months ago my mother was trying to order a painting for her office space of a New Orleans street view
She picked out a print of pointillism style painting, nice bright colors, appealing to the eye sort of thing.
It arrives only for her to find that it’s not a painting, but rather a mosaic-by-number kit with ~75,000 pieces. Her eyes are bad enough that she can’t really put it together herself and my fathers hands aren’t steady enough to get the tiles facing the right way. So, for the past two weeks I’ve been putting them down one by one so that she can have a nice mosaic for her office wall instead.
